Marketing Co-op Associate – Summer 2025 (Remote or Onsite)

Langford, BC Part-time (30 hours/week) Marketing

Job Description

We’re looking for a creative and resourceful Marketing & Design Co-op student to support our marketing efforts and help build out our brand. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both content creation and design, and who’s excited to work in a fast-moving tech environment. You’ll help us plan and execute marketing campaigns, create digital and print materials, support social media efforts, and assist with trade show prep. You’ll also have opportunities to use AI tools and video editing platforms to streamline content creation and explore new ways of storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

This job is a mix of marketing (blog, short video creation - i.e., tutorials or social media) and design (creation of print and digital assets, flyers, banners and brochures). You will blend marketing and design to create engaging content and campaigns that grow our brand. You will help us prepare for a tradeshows and improve our social media presence.

  • Craft and execute digital marketing strategies (social media, blogs, ads, email campaigns)
  • Design marketing materials (flyers, brochures, banners, presentations)
  • Manage and improve website content
  • Create and edit short-form videos (tutorials, social media clips)
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Bard, etc.) for content and automation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners on marketing initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Co-op program in Marketing, Digital Design, Communications, or Business (3rd or 4th year)
  • Basic skills in Figma, Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Suite (you don’t need to be an expert, just resourceful!)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
  • Good writing, communication, and attention to detail
  • Some familiarity with social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and manage small projects
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn

Ideal Fit

SFU SIAT major with a minor in marketing, OR a business/communications major with a design background, OR a graphics/multi-media design and communications background.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Must be registered at a Canadian accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Students on work visas or study permits are not eligible.
  • This position is subsidized through ICTC's WIL Digital Program.
