Driven Account Executive needed to hunt and grow industrial IoT accounts across North America, selling IoTKinect's connected sensor, SIM, and edge computing solutions with uncapped earning potential.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive to join our team in Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for building a portfolio of industrial clients and selling IoTKinect's connected solutions — from first conversation through to long-term account growth.

This is a hybrid hunter and farmer role: you will be winning new business, managing existing accounts, and handling fulfillment. If you are commercially sharp, technically curious, and motivated by uncapped earnings, this role was built for you.


Job Type and Salary

  • Permanent, Full-time
  • Base Salary: CA$75,000 per year
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): CA$150,000+
  • Uncapped commission structure (full commission plan shared with shortlisted candidates)

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage a portfolio of clients across IoT, IIoT, and SIM connectivity solutions
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business in Canada and the USA
  • Conduct in-person client meetings, product demonstrations, and site visits across your territory
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's operational needs and position IoTKinect solutions accordingly
  • Manage contract renewals and proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, quotes, and presentations
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account records in CRM
  • Hit and exceed progressive monthly sales targets working toward a $500,000 annual quota

What You'll Sell

  • IoT & IIoT Solutions: Connected sensor networks and edge computing for industrial operations
  • SIM & Connectivity Plans: Industrial-grade SIM cards and mobile data plans for connected devices
  • EdgeKinect Platform: IoTKinect's proprietary edge computing software — the engine behind our solutions
  • Bundled Solutions: End-to-end packages combining hardware, SIM, software, and ongoing support

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales or account management experience with a proven track record of hitting targets
  • Comfortable owning a territory — both hunting for new business and managing existing accounts
  • Confident conducting in-person client visits and presentations across the Americas
  • Strong communicator — able to explain technical products clearly to non-technical buyers
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple accounts, orders, and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Background in technology, SaaS, telecommunications, or industrial equipment sales

Additional Skills & Experience Considered an Asset

  • Familiarity with IoT and IIoT solutions
  • Experience managing hardware or equipment procurement
  • Existing network in utilities or industrial sectors in Canada and the USA
